E-Statements – Disclosure

Electronic Delivery of Statements and Notices

Because the E-Statement process is electronic, you must consent to our providing information electronically, instead of providing such notices and disclosures in written form, if you wish to proceed.  Read the notice below carefully, and if you choose, print a copy for your records.

When you agree to accept electronic statements, your consent also includes, but is not limited to, account notices; regulatory information; change in terms and conditions; privacy notices; and promotion information from the credit union on its products, services or interest rates; by electronic delivery.

Consent to Electronic Delivery of Account Statements
By entering into this agreement, you agree that Dakota West Credit Union will no longer be providing you with a monthly and/or quarterly paper statement.  Notification that your E-Statement is available will be provided through your e-mail address on or around the 1st of the month. To access your E-Statements, please log on to dakotawestcu.com and follow the MyKeptData E-Statements link (Online Services, E-Statements).

It is your responsibility to provide us with any changes in your e-mail address.  This can be completed on the MyKeptData site and then advising us of the change, or simply by contacting us at the address or phone number above. We will not accept any change of email address via email.

If we become aware that you are not receiving email, we will send all notices, attachments, and/or documents to you via U. S. Mail to your last address known to us.  We may, at our discretion, treat an invalid email address as a withdrawal of your consent to receive electronic statements.

Security
MyKept Data provides a secure, electronic ‘Vault’ to store your documents.  To enter the ‘Vault”, you must provide your account number and password.  You can choose your own 6 to 10 digit personal password, which can be composed of a combination of numbers or letters; cannot contain any special characters such as punctuation marks, slashes, etc.; and is case sensitive.  Please memorize your password or keep it in a safe place.  If in the future you believe your password is no longer secure, please go directly to the login page, sign in and click “Other Options” to edit account information to assign yourself a new password.

You agree to protect the confidentiality of your account and account number, any unique name you use to identify yourself, and your password/PIN.  We cannot and do not warrant that all data transfers utilizing the Internet, including email transmitted to and from us, will not be monitored or read by others.

If you incorrectly enter your password three times, you will be prevented from access to
E-Statements.  If you are prevented access due to an incorrect password, please contact us at 800.411.7590.

Dakota West Credit Union will not, for any reason, ask for your password/PIN.  If anyone contacts you and asks you for this information, contact us immediately.    You are responsible for keeping your password/PIN confidential.

Periodic Statements
You will be able to print out your statement on the MyKeptData site.  This printout will be in the same format and will contain the same information as the statement you would have received by mail.  If for any reason you want us to mail you a copy of your statement, simply contact us at the address/phone number above.  There may be a fee for each requested statement, and you agree to this charge.  E-Statements are archived for five years.

If after using the E-Statement service you decide you want to return to receiving your statements by mail, simply contact us at the address/phone number above and request this change.

You understand the importance of your role in preventing misuse of your accounts, and you agree to promptly examine your statement and notify us immediately of any errors on your account(s).  See Statement of Billing Rights for error resolution process (under the Disclosures tab on our website or on the bottom section of your statement).

Hardware and Software Requirements
The following browsers are required for E-Statements:  Internet Explorer, Version 5.5 or higher; or Netscape 6.0 or higher.  You will also need access to Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 4.0 or higher to view your E-Statements.  The MyKeptData E-Statements tab includes links to sites from which you can download all of the required software.  It is your responsibility to print or save the E-Statement file for future reference.

By clicking the response signifying acceptance, you agree to the terms and conditions and acknowledge that you are authorized to enter into this agreement for all persons who own or are authorized to access any of your accounts, and that such persons will be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
