Our Ag Lender Pete Best understands what our farmers & ranchers need because he is one. Everyone, please meet Pete!

Pete graduated from NDSU (North Dakota State University) with a degree in Animal Science in 1995. In college, he was on the livestock judging team and played running back for the Bison. After graduation he landed a job selling livestock feed before finding his niche in agricultural lending in 1997.

Pete worked as a loan officer from 1997 until he became the credit manager at Dakota West Credit Union in 2008. In 2012, he chose to step away from the financial world and put his full attention towards establishing his Registered Angus Herd, Best Angus & Quarter Horses.

Pete has been been breeding registered Angus since 1987, and he understands the stresses farmers and ranchers are under because he feels them himself. Pete knows you need someone to believe in your plan, and who is willing to work with you to develop a strategy that has the best opportunity for success.

When asked to describe himself Pete said, “I am a motivated, pragmatic and naturally intuitive individual who values honor and trust. Like you, this is my family’s home and we aren’t going anywhere. We may go through some challenging times, but I truly believe the future is bright if we follow the right path and have a little luck on our side.”
