Onwards & Upwards –2022 Dakota West Credit Union Scholarships Awarded & Top 100 Accolade

This year, we awarded four (4) $500 scholarships to members who are either current high school seniors, or students already enrolled in college or a trade school. Applicants were asked to submit a short essay about a time in their life when they had to use Communication (one of Dakota West’s four core values) to overcome an obstacle or objection.

These four students received news of their receipt of these scholarships on our Facebook page on Friday, April 22.

  • Elizabeth Field, Grenora, Class of 2022, Williston State College, Field of Study: Chiropractic
  • Hannah Johnson, Grenora, Class of 2019, University of North Dakota, Majors: Marketing and Communication
  • Cassidy Sommer, Washburn, Class of 2022, North Dakota State University, Major: Criminal Justice
  • Lily Comstock, Watford City, Class of 2022, Black Hills State University, Major: Elementary Education

We celebrate our scholarship recipients, their parents and families, and all the members of Dakota West who support the academic goals of these young members. Dedicated to exhibiting its values of Responsibility, Positive Attitude, Respectfulness, and Communication throughout west and central North Dakota, Dakota West Credit Union is instilling its young members with skills to maintain personal financial responsibility throughout their education.
