This year, we awarded four (4) $500 scholarships to members who are either current high school seniors, or students already enrolled in college or a trade school. Applicants were asked to submit a short essay about a time in their life when they had to use Communication (one of Dakota West’s four core values) to overcome an obstacle or objection.

These four students received news of their receipt of these scholarships on our Facebook page on Friday, May 14.

• Haley Comstock, Watford City, Watford City High School, Class of 2021
• Tayle Kaczmar, Watford City, Watford City High School, Class of 2020 (currently attending North Dakota State College of Science)
• Brynn Folvag, Grenora High School, Class of 2021
• Hannah Johnson, Grenora High School, Class of 2019 (currently attending University of North Dakota)
